DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

English study has a unique and predominant role in the communicative sphere of the world. It also has a unique identity in the field of education. The English language teaching has four objectives to develop four skills: (i) Reading, (ii) speaking, (iii) Listening (iv) Writing. Nowadays, more and more people are choosing to study. English all the time as its international importance in every field of life is becoming increasingly apparent.

Objectives:

  • To develop knowledge and understanding of grammar.
  • To develop abilities to make use of the grammar in one’s writing.
  • To motivate students for more studying English.
  • To improve creative writing.
  • To develop the ability to grasping the theme of a poem or English passage.
  • To help shape individuals into outstanding scholars, teachers, researchers and responsible citizens.
  • To promote and expand productive, innovative and diverse research that generates new literary approaches and contributes to studying languages and literature worldwide.
  • To promote a study and understand societies, cultures, traditions and history through literary texts from across the globe.
  • To enhance the awareness of the English language and its correlation with other cultures and communities.
