DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY
Psychology is devoted to transmitting knowledge of psychological processes by providing a solid foundation of basic knowledge and an understanding of empirical science, emphasizing on meticulous and continual development. Psychology is curious, intriguing and pragmatic. It attempts to comprehend human nature. Hence, basic research in this field helps us improve our lives' quality and establish a society based upon principles of justice and equity. The scope of psychology is an ever-expanding phenomenon. Now psychological knowledge is applied to solve problems in such diverse areas as management, environment, business, education, industry, space, sports, law, justice, hospital, linguistics, psychotherapy, counselling and guidance and critical evaluation of literature and other fine arts.
Objectives:

To provide mental health facilities, counselling and guidance, and human resource management services to this region's people.

Develop high-quality professionals and behavioral scientists that are committed to the pursuit of excellence and are endowed with vision, courage and dedication.

Improve academic standard in this region through the generation, assimilation, and dissemination of knowledge.

Make a significant and meaningful contribution towards the social and economic betterment of Pakistan through the development of these human resources.

To prepare people of this area to serve as an intellectual resource base in this region, Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and cognitive processes.

Students are given knowledge about the core psychological processes behind human interactions to implement that knowledge within their daily lives.

Students are taught the different psychological testing procedures and methods to use those testing procedures in their practical and vocational lives (in hospitals, rehab center, etc.).
